Whether he thinks the problem is with receiving messages or not, the problem is probably with sending a message that refers to that file. Eudora doesn't look for files when it If he is holding a lot of spam messages, or even just non-spam messages in his inbox he should stop doing that though, for other reason.

If a word appeared in a lot of spam-detected messages then it gets biased towards the spammy end of the scale. If a word appeared in a lot of non-spam detected to be non-spammy by receiving prelude spam messages that weren't detected as spam then those words will be biased as non-spammy instead of spammy.
